Download the WJ siddur

The WJ Siddur covers the complete traditional Friday night service, and is available for you to download and print out yourselves.

Set your printer to:

  • Print onto A4 paper.
  • Print double-sided. (If you can't do this, print all the odd pages, then feed them back into the manual feed one by one to print the even pages on their backs.)
  • Flip the paper along the short edge. (This is important: if you don't do this, you'll end up with half the pages in the wrong place, and upside-down!)

Once the siddur has printed, fold into booklet form, check the pages are in the right order, then unfold and put a couple of staples along the fold line. (It'll look better if you staple from outside to inside, so the ends of the staples are in the book's centre.)

If you don't have a big enough stapler to fit the book into, put the book over the edge of a table so that the place you want the staple to go is just overhanging the edge, unfold your stapler, hold the paper overhanging the edge, and staple.  The first staple will fail to go all the way through, as may the next two or three, but if you keep stapling in exactly the same place, it will eventually successfully staple.

Corrigendum:

If you downloaded the siddur prior to 21 December 2010, there is an extraneous first word on the sixth line of the Hebrew on p. 21, תַלְמוּד.  That should not be there; it's the result of insufficient Ashkenazification of the Sephardi text I took off the Web.  This is fixed in the version labelled "Version of 14 September 2010".
